Adjust expectations, unlock performance

I wanted to share some thoughts on Dean Burmester's recent back-to-back victories on the DP World Tour. Having known Dean, coached him or a bit, and played alongside him from his early professional days, it's incredible to see his growth. He's now a member of the Stingers team in LIV Golf.

What's noticeable is the shift in Dean's perspective. The DP World Tour events in South Africa, which were once major milestones during his transition from the Sunshine Tour, now seem like small events to him. This change in outlook, where he doesn't burden himself with high expectations, have liberated his play, leading to his consecutive wins. It's a testament to how lowering expectations can paradoxically lead to better results.

Next time you're on the golf course, try reducing your expectations about a particular outcome and observe what impact it has on your performance.
